Prakash Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, Europe, has consistently emphasized that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Through the Hinduja Foundation, in collaboration with Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd. (GOLIL) and the Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI), more than 526 water bodies have been restored across 18 Indian states since 2007. One such initiative, the rejuvenation of Sathangadu Lake in Chennai, highlights how corporate volunteers, NGOs, and communities can work together for sustainability. Beyond ecological recovery, these projects enhance biodiversity, provide clean water, and strengthen livelihoods. For Hinduja, conservation is about empowering communities while safeguarding natural resources for future generations.
