Follicular Unit Excision (FUE), sometimes referred to as Follicular Unit Extraction, is a minimally invasive surgical hair restoration technique used to treat Androgenetic Alopecia (pattern baldness) in both men and women. Unlike the older strip harvesting method Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), FUE involves extracting individual follicular units directly from the donor area of the scalp without creating a linear incision.
